Linnaeus W. February 12, 2018 for Model Number ED2VHEXTQ01 How long is this assembly including the auger rod that goes into the auger motor? My OEM bin assembly measures a total of 20 inches. I ask because I bought this model from a company & the auger rod extended 4 inches beyond the container whereas my OEM rod only extended 2 inches past the bin. Although the item I sent back had a rod that had broken through & was sticking out the box. I tried to ask the company if this was an aberration or could someone have put the wrong p/n item in my package which they say was unlikely.
1 Answer Hello Linnaeus, From counting the one-inch squares behind the part on our website, the part appears to be about 23 inches long including the length of the crusher diverter arm which extends about 3 inches behind the ice container. Because this was a factory assembled part, is there any kind of warranty on it. It could be a factor in making the decision to purchase a part that is factory assembled if it has a warranty of some kind.
