Cristobal March 28, 2013 for Model Number DU945PWSS0 My dishwasher did not seem to have finished its last cycle as there was about one inch of water left at the bottom. The "clean" light was not on either. The touch pad panel does not light up. There is power on the junction box of the appliance. I have checked the thermal fuse and the door switches for continuity. They seem fine. What else could I check before replacing expensive parts? Thanks P.S. On the inside of the panel it says DU915PWSS0
1 Answer Hello Cristobal. Test for power coming past the fuse to the board. I think you find the fuse 675813 is bad. However, if there is power to the board, past the fuse, then you will need to replace the control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kaulana January 19, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool DU915PWWS0 Hello, my Whirlpool Dishwasher model DU915PWWS0 won't start, won't light up. I have opened up the unit and have used an Ohm meter to test the continuity of the thermal fuse - it's closed. I also pulled out the door switches and used tested - they're both fine as well. My only other thought is that the entire control board needs to be replaced. Is there anything I've missed in testing?
1 Answer Hello Kaulana, You will want to test for power to the control board to make sure that you are getting 120vac. If you are getting power but no display then you would want to replace the control board. To check this you will check from P8 (Tan) to P7 (White). Read More...

Vincent October 23, 2012 for Model Number DU948PWSBO Type #208-2 SER: FT4201024 The dishwasher panel currently powers up and lights up but the start button doesn't always work. Is there another option for replacing the start button or does the entire panel need to be replace to fix this problem (part number AP3961536) thanks,
1 Answer Vincent, You're on the right track, You'll want to test or replace the control panel/keypad assembly WPW10101930 first. This is the more likely issue, based on your description."PROBLEM: ONE OR MORE KEYS WON’T RESPOND Open key or LED circuit(s) on the keypad. Open circuits or connections on the control that read the keys or drive LEDs". Read More...
Steve T October 15, 2012 for Model Number du915pwp80 My whirlpool dw started then stopped. No lights on panel. I then tripped the circuit breaker to see if this would correct the problem No success. Could this be the controller, console or some other part? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Steve. It could be that the thermal fuse 675813 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced on the unit. If it is open, the unit will be completely dead. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Tammy August 19, 2012 for Model Number DU945PWSQO My whirlpool dishwasher touch panel will not start the cycle, but the cancel button, heated dry, pots and pans, etc. Someone said the whole touch pad will have to be replaced any suggestions.
1 Answer Tammy, At this point, the keypad is the most likely issue " PROBLEM: WON’T RUN OR POWER UP No operation, no keypad response, and no LEDs or display > Multiple open or shorted circuits in keypad". Yes you will need to replace the complete control panel assembly WPW10101970 as it and the keypads are a single unit. It's not that hard a repair to make, just make sure you turn the power off to the dishwasher first. Thanks Read More...
1 Answer John, You may want to start by checcking the detergent rinse aid dispenser, linkage and motors, etc. before you install a control. You'll need to remove the outer door panel to access the assembly, and we'll send you some " how to " information that should be helpful. Thanks Read More...
Microbiobob April 29, 2012 for Model Number DU930PWSB1 On normal setting dishwasher fills and then starts to wash for about 15 seconds and then shuts down. After an extended period of time it will run for another 15 seconds and shut down again. This is repeated several times and never runs continuously. I have replaced the circuit board (W10039780), circuit breaker, checked the input wiring and still get the same response.
1 Answer Hello Microbiobob. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the motor WP8534971 is getting hot and is preventing the unit from working properly. Once it cools, it starts to run again, then gets hot and stops. You will need to replace the motor is this is the case. Read More...
