Hello. The dishwasher first faulted by only allowing a couple of the cycles to light up when you pressed buttons. Start button didn't work but cancel did. Then, it started working normally for a short while but failed before the cycle finished, and water did not drain out. Now it acts totally dead. I want to first check the thermal fuse but not sure where it's located. I have a VOM to check it with. And based upon other comments we need the controller replaced. So 1) Where is the thermal fuse and 2) will you ship to the US Virgin Islands? Thank you.

1 Answer

Hal, If you remove the inner door panel on the dishwasher door the thermal fuse will most likely be attached to the housing of the control board. Test it for continuity. If this checks ok then it will most likely be an issue with the control panel of the unit. Unfortunately at this time we do not ship to the US Virgin Islands.

Hello A.J., For a proper diagnosis we would need a detailed description of the issue you are having. I'm sorry but without a problem description we cannot diagnose the unit. You could try running a diagnostic mode to see if there are any fault codes. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Sam, First check or replace the WPW10101930 control panel/keypad assembly. The inoperable buttons and LED lights could be causing false or improper inputs into the control board and cause the dishwasher to operate erratically and shut off during the cycles.

My dishwasher is having an intermittent power problem. (It's hard wired and in a rental) My tenant told me it was not working so when I first looked at it I noticed it had no lights on the front and was not responding to pushing any of the buttons. I removed the washer to bring it home and test it. When I hooked it up to a cord I made it came on. I figured it must have been a bad connection. Took it back, hooked it up and it came right on. I let it run for 15 mins, drained it and figured it had just been a loose wire in the plastic cap. I am not sure how much use she got out of it but within a month my tenant called saying it was not working again. I asked her to check the breaker and it was good. So I had her turn if off and let it sit for an hour. When she turned it back on it worked again. She put it on drain to clear it out and 3 mins later it stopped again. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hello rfoster143. Check for loose or bad connections in the door. If none are found, then replace the control board.
