Steve May 03, 2015 Hi. I have a late 2006, front loading, Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine. I don't have the model # at the moment, but it has a slide out drawer for dispensing detergent, softener, and bleach. Over the past few months, more so over the past few weeks I've been noticing that water is filling up the softener/bleach side of the dispenser drawer-- after the wash is completed. What would cause something like this to happen? TYIA.
1 Answer Steve, There are a couple of possibilities, you may want recheck the dispenser. At the end of the cycle, open the drawer and check the dispenser. If there is water and softener remaining , this is an indication of a weak or slow cold water supply, which will not fill the dispenser enough to create a syphon effect to extract the mixture from the dispenser cup, you would need to disconnect the hoses and clean the debris screens located in the end of the fill hose and the water valve. If the dispenser is empty at the end of the cycle, and fills up over time then you'd need to replace the fill valve, the cold water valve would have a seepage problem and would be allowing water to drip into the dispenser. Micky October 16, 2013 for Model Number ghw9300pw4 My detergent drawer broke. I think the pull out part is still intact. It seems to me that the actual dispenser is cracked and therefore the drawer cannot hold onto it. Can I replace just the part that the drawer hooks onto?
