Misty October 17, 2012 for Model Number MES5775BAB I believe my door locking mechanism is not operating properly. the oven light will not shut off and regardless of what I try the -self-cleaning cycle will not engage by locking the door. 1 Answer Hello Misty, This sounds like the door lock mechanism 74010819 has failed. The clock could be at fault, so you should check to make sure voltage is getting to the door lock mechanism when it should be locking. If it is, the door lock mechanism has failed.
