For Whirlpool Washer Water Level Pressure Switch Hose (Part Number: OEM18026127)

1 Answer

Lori, unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the control W10761028 that the pressure hose would attach to and it is no longer available.

Harry, if there is not a clogged pressure hose port and the pressure hose is not damaged, the most likely cause of failure would be the water level switch 285580 if unplugging the power cord will stop the water flow.

Terry for Model Number 110.16882503

My washer intermittently skips the wash cycle and the final spin cycle. The washer fills to the desired selected level but sometimes the wash cycle does not start. The timer advances to the drain cycle. The drain pump operates as it should. The washer then fills with rinse water and the washer agitates. Once this cycle is complete the washer does not spin leaving the clothes wet. I have replaced the lid switch to eliminate it as a possible cause. Any suggestions as to possible causes will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Terry

Terry, with the power cord unplugged and the capacitor WP8572720 discharged, the capacitor would need to be tested for 324-389 microfarads. If the capacitor is outside of this range, it would need to be replaced. However, if it tests within this range, the most likely cause of failure would be the timer WP8557393.

Don for Model Number 11022352511

My washer would do nothing when set to cold water (or the rinse cycle) so I replaced the inlet valve. Now, hot water will fill correctly, but when its set to cold water, most of the time there will be a buzzing sound and no water. If I close the cold water valve at the wall, the buzzing will stop, and if I then open the valve back up, the cold water will flow correctly. Then, the next time or two when the cold water valve needs to open it will begin buzzing again, until I repeat, shutting off and turning on the inlet valve at the wall.

Don, based on the information provided, the water pressure at the supply valve would need to be tested to identify if it is between 40-80PSI. If it is, the valve would need to be checked to ensure 120VAC is getting to the valve properly. If the voltage is good, then the valve W11210459 is faulty.

Hello Carmelo, You will need to unplug the machine and turn off the water supply before beginning. You will then need to remove the (2) top screws from the control panel's rear panel. Now remove the wire harness cover and the screws from the two hinges. You will then go around the perimeter of the rear panel and remove all of the retaining screws.

Tina, it is likely that the bleach cup either has one port or that it has clogged up in regards to the leak. If the port is not clogged, the dispenser WPW10187307 would need to be replaced as it has been updated to having multiple drain ports.

Hello Lorenzo, It is not recommended to use any sort of adhesive on this hose since a small amount inside the hose will alter the units' operation. If it is loose, simply cut off about 1/4 inch from the end of the hose and put it on dry.

Larane, The moisture in the tube will certainly affect the washer reading the water level. If replacing the pressure tube does not solve your issue then the control would need to be replaced since the hose plugs into the control.

Anonymous, we're not aware of altitude affecting the fill level of a washing machine. The air tube is a "cut to fit" installation(remove and measure the original tube, cut the new tube to the same length, and install). You do want to check and make sure the existing air tube isn't twisted, kinked, pinched, etc. Make sure the tub is empty of all water when replacing the tube or pressure switch for proper operation and fill levels. And make sure there is an "airtight" fit between the tube and the attachment spuds on the pressure switch and outer tub connections.

Hello Cathy. You will need to check and see if it is pressure hose of the washer. It should attach to the air dome and go to the pressure switch. Thanks
