Hello Roger, If you refer to the first picture of the switch on our website, the long narrow part that protrudes to the right is a lock. It should be raised with a small screwdriver and then the switch will rotate. After rotating about 1/4 turn, the switch will drop out into your hand.

Lou, Based on your post information, if the start switch is working proper, and you have to open the door to stop the dryer, the motor switch neutral cicuit would have to be defective. You'll need to replace the motor assembly 279787 or check the white wire to the motor for a short to chassis ground.

Hello Dan. On the side of the switch WP3404233. When pressed, the com and the NO will read closed for continuity on a meter. Try opening the door and taping the door switch closed. Then press the start button and use your foot to spin the drum. If the dryer runs, the motor is bad on the unit.

Hi Bobby. You need to check the thermal fuse first to see if it is open part # WP3392519 located at the blower hsg. You can temporarily jump these 2 wires together w/ elect tape and see if it works now. If it does then you have located the issue. If not then use the same principal on the start sw, by jumping the wire and the wire together. If the unit now runs then replace the start sw. which is a relay system part # WP3404233. Thank You.

Gordon W. for Model Number Kenmore #11062622101 80 series

I have a Kenmore Electric Dryer 80 series Model #11062622101, it was working fine and dried a load , went to do a load later in the day and does not do any thing when you push start button, black micro swith on door seems to click when you push it and door latch still line up. Push to start button seems to be spongy but you can still hear a clicking maybe going to a relay. I ordered new push to start button from here and was sent the wrong one. Is there something else I should be looking for?
