If the paper is left attached, which surface of the felt pad should be adjacent to the dryer glide? Thanks

Dan September 04, 2011 for Model Number ALG643RBW Where does this felt pad go? Underneath, next to, or on top of the Drum Dryer Guide?? What is it for? (The Drum Dryer Guides support the Drum and allow it to turn with minimal friction.)
