Hello Joseph. No, the control panel 6-919836 is not hard to install. disconnect the power and remove the inner door liner. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board. Next remove the control board housing and the door latch assembly. Now you can access the 4 screws securing the control panel to the door panel. Remove the old control panel and install the new one in reverse order. Hope this helps.

Hello Carol! Unfortunately, the control panel does not come available in stainless. The panel for the stainless model is black in color, part number 6-919836. Thanks.

Hello Phyllis. Check and make sure the door latch assembly WPW10130695 is good. If so, you will need to replace the control panel 6-919836. Hope this helps.
