Ira, You will want to grab hold of the shaft that is on the discharge housing with pliers or channel locks and pull it off. This may be stuck due to excess detergent build up.

Hello Bob. You will just need to look for wear on the bearing. Most of the time this issue is caused by low water pressure or the spray arm is clogged and bad. Also, look for damage to the manifold and make sure none of the rubber stops are missing in it.

Hello Kathy, You either have a bad pump or a clog in the water circulation system that is preventing the unit from doing a proper wash, (such as a filter). If the unit is not filling with water, you could have a bad water inlet valve or a bad water level switch or something under the water level float, holding it up so the switch is open.

Rick, Normally when this ring bearing goes bad the lower spray arm will have trouble turning. It should turn freely and if it is hanging up then the bearing is most likely bad.

Hello Patty, This unit would not have a brown rubber ring in it. It may be the rubber ring off of a lid from a jar that worked its way through the pump and hung up there due to no where else to go.

Arthur, The first check needs to be the lower spray arm and bearings WP8268874,WP3376846,WP9742946. It's more likely, that a worn out bearing, or a spray arm with a split seam, or obstruction in the venturi holes, is causing the water to spray against the bottom of the door and leak out .

Hi Robin. The lower spray arm assy. part # WP8268874 is snapped together as a one piece wash arm/top plate assy. Then on top of it is the washer part # 719576 and the cap assy. part # WP3367910 on top of it. It holds the wash arm to the motor shaft. Unfortunately our young archives do not yet have this breakdown. Then the tower screws on top of the cap outer threads to support the middle spray arm. Thank You.
