Catherine March 02, 2021 for Model Number KEBI200VBL3 The door on this older model Kitchenaid double oven no longer pulls closed after I heard a loud "snap" as if a spring had broken. I purchased the spring needed from your website, but cannot tell if it is replaced within the door itself or whether the entire oven must be moved out to get at the spring location. Would greatly appreciate a link for a diagram showing the spring location.
1 Answer Catherine, the oven would need to be removed so that the side panel can be taken off. Once it is taken off, the door hinge and spring will be accessible. There will be a spring anchor WP308125 attached to the hinge where the spring would mount and the other side of the spring will mount into a slot on the oven. Read More...

Mary Jo April 17, 2020 for Model Number RM288PXV6 I need to replace the oven door springs. What do I have to disassemble to get to these? Do I need the anchor spg Part #AP6007576 Do I need the Clip ring Part# AP6014311 I do have 2 Springs Part#AP6007577
1 Answer Mary Jo, to access the springs, the side panel of the unit would need to be removed after moving the appliance to where the side panel screws can be accessed (screws are located on the side and the back of the appliance). Once it is removed, the parts needed could be identified. However, it would be beneficial to have the clip ring WP98392 and the spring anchor WP308125 on hand for each side in case one has broken. This would save from having to move the unit multiple times to replace parts. Read More...
