Johnny-JC, The issue with the fill tube freezing up would be a water valve that is seeping and would need to be replaced. The part number for the valve is WP67003753.

Phil, It does not make any difference that you put the inline filter on the water line between the valve and icemaker.

John, Basically, you have a factory installed "add on" ice maker. Since you've replaced the fill valve, you'll need to check the water supply line to the refrigerator, for kinks, twists, etc. Also check for a dirty "in line" water filter, and if you have a self piercing water shut off valve, check to make sure the piercing pin isn't bent or clogged with sediment from the water line. You need a minimum of 20 PSI constant water pressure at the fill valve connection for the valve to operate properly. Low water pressure will make the fill valve drip and cause the cubes to freeze together.

Hello, I have two issues with my ice maker. First issue has been happening for a year now. 50% of the time a cube hangs up and won't drop into the tray. Won't make anymore ice until I dislodge the cube. Second issue recently started. It only produces 3 or 4 cubes at a time now and water also drips into the tray and forms an ice block. What could the problems be and which parts do I need to replace. I just bought washer and dryer parts from you and the repairs went beautifully. Thanks in advance.

Hello Dave. It sounds like the icemaker is not getting enough water. This can cause both issues. You will need to order and replace the water valve on the unit.

Hello Ruth. Make sure the temp is between 0 and 5°. If so, you will need to look for a clogged fill tube for the icemaker.

Bob S for Model Number Roper Model #RS25AGXNQ00

The ice maker fill tube and fill funnel/cup keep freezing the water as it travels into icemaker, causing water to drip out of ice dispenser on the door. Would not having the ice cube stripper arm in place cause this, or is it the water valve? The water valve does not appear to be leaking. It only allows water to flow when the Ice Maker calls for water. Then the water shuts off immediately. Only after the Ice maker is making ice for at least 4 days does the problem seem to appear. At one point in time, we had added some store bought cube ice to dispenser tray to use up extra store bought ice we had purchased for a BBQ. At that point in time, the store bought ice froze to the stripper arm, while trying to remove ice, broke stripper arm, and removed arm. If I replace stripper arm, will it take care of problem? Please respond ASAP, as I plan on purchasing/fixing whatever needs to be done TODAY. Thank you, very much.
