Jonathan R Mequon , WI March 27, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF266AASH/XAA-0000 French door center flap spring ripped out flap no longer opened automatically when door closed In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. Worked the cable out of the hinge piece so it could be removed and cable pulled through case. Pried upper and lower caps off to remove hinge pieces. Swapped everything over to the new flap case in reverse order, re-installed flap on door, and installed spring with its pin sheath. Done! Rob C Waynesboro , VA September 09, 2022 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG SMART FRIDGE My French door had a broken hinge on the flapper. I ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com using their easy schematics. Parts arrived in less than a week and then I watched their informative video. It was easy after that and now the flap works like new. The only caveat I would have included was having to redo the spring on the bottom hinge which is the one that was broken on my door. I will definitely be using AppliancePartsPros.com in the future Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
