Michael D Lower Burrell , PA March 11, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA422PRHDWR/AA-0001 Poor location of drain pump First of all, I cannot believe that Samsung would actually think that putting the drain pump on the drum was a GOOD idea. The fix was easy, When I bought the washer off an individual, She told me that she was informed the drain pump needed replaced. So I did that. Pain in the a&* du to the location and trying to secure the bolts. It broke off after a week. I found out that Samsung put out a repair bulletin and a customer service rep from this site emailed it to me. After looking up the parts, I decided that I did not need to spend over $100 for the kit and purchased the necessary parts from APP for $60. So much easier to relocate the pump. Now you cannot even hear the washer run. The pump is held in housing by 3 screws. Assembley in reverse. Assuring to reattach all hose's. Read More...
