Dennis B Wichita Falls , TX March 30, 2020 Lower ice bin broken Easy to remove the metal parts from the old bin. The only problem was that the screw that holds the adapter has red thread locker and screwdriver rounded off the head of the screw. Drilled the screw and heated the screw to loosen the thread locker and used an ease out to remove the screw. The 8 32 screw was a problem I could not remove it with the thread lock it prevented me from unscrewing it. Therefore I replaced the shaft the splined hub and spacer washers. Jeff L Buckeye , AZ April 14, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator GS5VHAXWY01 Auger coupling was stripped. All I needed as the auger coupler that connects it with the drive shaft to the ice maker, but the screw attaching the coupler to the auger was corroded and I ended up stripping the screw. So I had to drill out the old screw and scrap the auger. Bought a new auger, screw, and coupler and the repair went well.
