Warren W Raleigh , NC January 04, 2017 Loud squeak I replaced the support rollers, idler pulley, and belt. The repair was fairly straight forward, except for getting the top of the console removed. After spending an hour trying to figure out how to interpret the instructions, I called them and was quickly given step by step guidance to get the part removed. Robert K Belleville , MI August 11, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Gas Dryer MGD6000XW1 Maytag maxima loud squeal bad idler Repair requires complete removal of front panels and drum to access all parts. Only needed to replace idler bracket, but, replaced all 4 rollers and belt since it was torn down to that level. Used 6.5mm and 10mm sockets, Phillips screwdriver and T25 bit. Didnt replace belt it seemed in good shape. No more squealing relative easy job. Had my 18 yr old son do it. Total time less than half hour.
