Steve J Clermont , FL September 18, 2015 Our older side by side matag refrigerator developed a problem with the ice and water dispenser buttons they became very intermittent apparently they were taking turns locking "on" "My friends" at Appliancepartspros suggested replacing the control panel. They mailed me the panel right away and the job required a screwdriver and five minutes of time. Back in the ice and water business for $50! What a deal! Happy camper! Jamie L Machesney Park , IL September 19, 2014 Appliance: Model MFI2568EAS The overlay was bad A service tech came to my home to troubleshoot the fridge. he tested a few things and told me it was the high voltage circuit board. I ordered it from appliance part pros and it did not work. they sent me another and it did not work either so I came to the conclusion with the help of the staff it was the overlay. I changed 9t and it is working great. this was the best customer service ive ever had the pleasure to deal with. thanks again and I will recommend this site to everyone. Timothy P Marietta , GA August 29, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2568AES12 Touchpad not working could not switch from ice cube to water Bought a new overlay. Unplugged the fridge and removed the face plate. Remove the drip tray and removing the two hex head nut screws. Gently pull the bottom of the face plate out and up and it should pop off. There are 3 circuit connectors that are attached to the back. Unclip those to free the face plate. Not really for the faint of heart but the next step was to pull off the existing overlay -- I used a small flat head screw driver and started at one side of the face plate. Dig the screw driver in and pull up on the overlay. Yes, this will totally screw up the existing overlay. Once you get enough of the over lay up, you should be able to pull it out like a big ole ugly sticker. I have hear of some people using a hair dryer on it first to soften it up. I didn't do that -- I just went to town. It left a few dots of residue glue, but I cleaned it up with a little alcohol wipe. Now for the stressful part: Practice laying out the new overlay, so you know where to place it - once it starts to stick, it is not going to come up well or at all. Also I think it was easier to feed the circuit ribbon through the slot before I placed the overlay. Mine came out just fine. It overlapped a little bit on the edge, but I took the little screw driver around the edge of the overlay to tuck it in and make it flush. Looks as good as new.
