Took new gasket and pushed in metal clips into holes in oven. Then finished by pushing gasket ends into hole with needle nose pliers. Read More... Harry S Newtown , CT September 21, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Gas Range WFG540H0AS1 Oven door gasket on my Whirlpool gas range had deteriorated becoming quite flat. This caused excessive heat escaping to melt the burner control knobs, melt and even fall off I replaced the gasket and obtained new knobs of a better design that eliminated plastic that would melt.
