Whirlpool 279052 Hi-Limit Thermostat OEM Part

I took the back off the dryer and found the hi-limit thermostat in pieces. I went to your web-site, found the part in the parts list, called you at 11:00 am saturday morning, ordered the part, and couldn't believe it when fed-ex showed up monday morning at 11:00 am, with the RIGHT part. Two days from Kentucky to upstate New York, in 2 days, over a weekend, I am impressed to say the least. Did I mention that the dryer is 27 years old.

Installed hi-limit thermostat and while I was taking the dryer apart anyway, bought and installed a new heating element. New thermostat had an extra terminal compared to the one that failed. Just had to carefully read the terminal designations (1 and 3) and matched up. Fast delivery!

The old part was burned inside due to age. The new part came with everything needed to replace including the spade bit that had to be replaced on one wire.

I chatted with a parts pro. I told her my problem and explained the part that I thought I needed. In just a few seconds she showed me the part. I ordered it and believe it or not, it was delivered the very next day! The part wasn't exactly like the old one. I guess it was improved to fit several dryers or something. I had to change the female plug to a male plug (which was supplied). After doing that the part worked fine. My dryer now heats nicely again!

We ordered a part from y'all and my husband fixed it.
