Kyle D Sikeston , MO May 10, 2019 Appliance: Maytag Washer MHW8000AG0 Leaking water from water inlet flow meter Replaced water inlet flow meter that had a crack in side of the old one. Start by unplugging machine from wall, used nut driver to remove 3 screws across top and lifted top off machine, then removed all the screws with nut driver on cover on back of machine, probably a dozen in total. The water inlet valve is located on top side, take photo with your camera then remove wires from solenoids to make access easier. Use channel locks or pliers, squeeze hose clamps and move away from water inlet flow meter. Take wire loose from WIF then twist back and forth and pull hose loose on one side, then the other. Replace with new valve and reverse procedure plugging wire back up when complete. Plug all your other wires up after looking at photo. It's basically as simple as attaching to the washer and making sure the other side was placed over the drain. Appliances Part Pros saved us about a week+ of waiting for the product to ship direct from the actual maker, too.
