Tim H Homeworth , OH December 15, 2018 Cold water inlet valve would not shut off in Kenmore washer Replaced the water inlet valve assembly. I was surprised how easy it was to do. A putty knife to release the panel and a screw driver to release 2 clips. Ordered the parts on Tuesday, received them the next day and the washer was back in business. Thomas N Pleasant Mount , PA April 05, 2026 Appliance: Maytag Washer MVWB765FW1 Leaking water from center bottom of machine - Didn't see any other leaks in machine. No grinding transmission noise. Assumed seal on transmission shaft was bad, since it was a central leak down the rotor. It was a little more difficult to dissemble than the video showed, but not too bad. Got it all back together and seems to be working well. No leaks yet. Didn't need washer in parts diagram - was already on the transmission. Also the drain pump filter was not necessary, it can just be cleaned. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
