Terry S Morgan Hill , CA April 23, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer A606S Leaking water from bottom of washer found hose cracked just below the tub I replaced the hose between the tub and the pump. The clamp screws were quite rusted but I used a socket wrench on them since they have hex heads in addition to the screwdriver slot. If I had tried to use a screwdriver, I think it would have been difficult. I did not reuse the original clamps but replaced them with hardware store hose clamps. Found pump puller spinning with motor but impeller was not turning on shaft. Ordered new pump, hoses and belt kit. Repair took 5 minutes to complete with new parts!
