Mark F Florissant , MO March 20, 2015 Electric range dual element set to high regardless of position of control knob Replaced dual infinite switch with new one from AppliancePartsPros. Part was exactly the same as the one in our range. I merely removed each wire from the old switch and attached it to the new switch in the same location (one at a time). Worked perfectly. Did have some difficulty with the screws that attach the switch to the range, though. Our range did not open at the top like a car hood as their video shows, so it was hard to get to them from above. Had to go through the opening for the control knob. A professional probably would have known a better way to do it, but at least the job was completed - and at a small fraction of the cost of hiring that professional... Read More... Robert B Burnsville , MN November 15, 2015 A burner on my amana glass cooktop stove wasn't working correctly regardless of the temperature setting of the knob the heat was always on high Removed cooktop. Removed glass top (10 screws) to get access to the two switch mounting screws. Removed screws, then from underneath pulled switch down and moved each wire from old switch to new switch.
