Vicki A Muskegon , MI November 07, 2014 Motor pulley broke witch strest my drain pump and broke that burned my belt Acualy sounded and looked major but with a littel help with you tube the job only took 30 minutes. 3 bolts for the water pump pulley broken pulley poped off new one klick into place simple belt install good to go. Parts saved me $40 and where here in only 2 days. I couldnt be happyer. They told me at applince store i would have to buy the whole drive motor to get the part saved 115.00. Thomas T O'neals , CA June 26, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer MAVT346AWW Washer motor pulley wore out split in two Tilt machine back and expose pulleys/belt. Use Dremel tool with friction cutting wheel to carefully cut off old pulley. Place new pulley on shaft. Tap on new pulley with rubber mallet and a roll of electrical tape (Place roll of tape on its side against the pulley and tap on roll with mallet). Arthur E Live Oak , CA February 01, 2015 The drain pump bearing froze this caused the drive belt to slip on the drive motor shiv melting the shiv and burning the belt to seperation I hack sawed the melted shiv off the drive motor and installed the new shiv. I re-installed drive motor onto the machine. I installed the new drain pump onto the machine. I installed the new belt onto the drive motor, pump, and transfer case. Machine worked.
