William R Winnetka , CA August 22, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS01DLSS2 Dishwasher was getting very loud and noisy it ten years old so i figured it to be the motor I hated to call a repair Guy, because by the time it takes them to do the service call and then order the part, then schedule another appointment. It would be at least two weeks. I figured I would just buy a new Dishwasher and have it delivered the next day. That was before I saw the price of a new dishwasher. I looked on line and found Appliance Parts Pros, saw the you tube video figured a trained monkey could do this change out on the motor assembly, so why can't I. I ordered the complete motor assembly on Monday it arrived the next day. I installed it the following day. It took about two and a half hours a little longer than in the video but I cleaned and vacuumed I took before and after pictures and ran a cycle to check for leaks. I did not need any special tools. If you have the skill to replace your cars alternator you can do this job. Just have plenty of dry towels on hand. Take some before pictures Because my dishwasher had a few extra flashings and guards that created a problem getting the assembly out of the hole. They needed to be reinstalled on the new assembly, the pictures helped. F. D Cheverly , MD July 13, 2014 Appliance: Model KUDSO1LJBLO There was a constant loud noise from the machine during the wash & rinse cycles After watching the repair video, I determined the repair was pretty straight forward, so I ordered the part in anticipation of the unit failing soon. The part arrived the next day of the order being processed by this company. The only surprise was that I needed a #10 TORX screwdriver for the screw holding the drain pump discharge adapter in place. The only reason my repair took so long was that I was in no hurry, took numerous breaks and made modifications under the cabinet for the machine. I used liquid soap to lubricate the O-rings and gasket surfaces and they went on with no problems. The dish machine runs like new again. Watching the video is invaluable in that it shows tricks that will be needed to gain access to the machine. The parts program on the website still thinks this doesn't fit my specific model. Jerry J Lufkin , TX January 18, 2019 The circulation pump motor went out I put in a new pump motor and pump assembly. Here’s a tip for those trying to do this. The pump assembly fits very tight into the dishwasher so you have to wet the outside seal in order to get it to pop in. Do not use soap or anything slick because it will pop back out on you if you do.
