Raymond M Mundelein , IL February 09, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Electric Wall Oven KEBS208DBL8 Heat loss due to old worn door gasket door insulation damaged Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. The Door Insulation is a very involved repair, and best to follow specific repair manual instructions. Door removal from oven is required. To remove door you need to order the Door Hinge Pins. Estimate about 15 mins per door plus time to clean all 3 glass panels prior to reassembly. You may find the service manual for your appliance at http://www.allrepairmanuals.com. Lorraine C Hickory , NC February 25, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Single Oven Self-Clean RBS245PRB00 I wasn't sure the temp probe was reading accurately. I hadn't seen the broiler element glow orange for about 5 years and the door gasket was popping off. So, I decided that from the number of screws needed to remove the worn parts and the " plug and play" appearance of the new parts on you website, I decided I could do this! This also how I approach my plumbing projects.....this really scares my husband! Well, everything came in at once so a few days later I decided it was time to do the deed. I had pre-spritzed the existing screws the night before with a degreaser and scrubbed with a used toothbrush. The screws all loosened up with no problem. Note here: I saw a comment on your website stating that although the screws look like a Phillips head screw, they have more of a star head. I had several of those in my handy dandy tool kit?? It took me about an hour total to unscrew and remove the old parts and pop in the new ones from your company. Easy peasy!! Thank you so much for supplying parts for appliances over 15 years old. Your company is the best. Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Bernard Gutnick G Santa Clara , CA October 05, 2015 Installed used oven in property it now looks brand new! The metal insulation strip is held to the frame with built-in clip, and this retainer and screw. I decided to replace the whole thing. It now looks brand new. One trick - buy a ratchet set to remove the screw which is in pretty tight, or remove the door. The ratchet method works. Put a drop of oil on the new screw. The end result: I purchased a used 24" KitchenAid double oven for $200 which sells for $1800 new. After spending $200 on parts (trim pieces were missing), it now looks absolutely brand new. The bottom oven doesnt look like it was used once. Good way to save money. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Wrench Set
