Jeremiah S Winchester , VA January 16, 2019 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer MAV408DAWW Clothes too wet, and some noise during agitation Researching issues on the site was super easy. Once the parts showed up I watched the videos and swapping out the parts was pretty easy. The down side was that once all the obvious problems were solved and the belt was grasping the drive pulley well, the real big issue came to light. After 5 very successful loads of laundry the gear in my transmission went making the washer completely inoperable in the agitation cycle, motor cant turn it at all. Now I have to decide if I want to spend $300+ on a transmission or to let the $75 I already spent on parts go and just get a new washer. At any rate I am thankful for appliance parts pros for saving me big bucks on a service call which likely wouldn't have gone any better and certainly not cheaper.
