There are plenty of DIY youtube videos to show you how to replace the parts. I went ahead and replaced more than just the broken parts. I figured if I had the machine opened up, I might as well replace parts that could go out in the future. I might have gone a bit too far with all the other parts. The only part that was really broken was the wiring harness. Two of the wires had corroded from the sockets and there was no other way than to replace the entire harness. Its a bit tricky to feed the harness through the back of the machine. You just need to slowly feed it through. The rest of the parts are plug and play.

Researched the problem and decided that the thermostat needed replacing! I ordered the part and it came in less than 48 hours. Changing out the thermostat took me about 2 minutes, seriously! Ice maker is working perfectly again!

I had this issue before on my JennAir ice maker. It just kept making ice and would not shut off. The tech before changed the Bin Thermistor, so I looked for it on line and since I have used AppliancePartsPros before, I ordered it from them. Installed a new temperature probe in the ice bin. old one still had ohm readings so I wasn't sure it was the problem but it fixed it. 3 screws and about 5 minutes work. received the part fast and in good condition. thank you. this is a repair anybody can do. The part just plugs in after you remove the front upper plastic cover, it has 2 screws holding it in. Loosen the probe holder just enough to pull the probe out. really easy.
