Refrigerator hinge wears out much faster than freezer hinge... Door opened much more often and more stuff stored on the fridge door, so its way heavier... Andrew M Salisbury , NC March 13, 2020 Appliance: Kenmore Side By Side Refrigerator 10659592990 Fresh food door would not stay closed Replaced both door cams and the upper hinge. The upper hinge was the more difficult piece to replace since it would not spin and unlock. I had to persuade it a little. Both old cams were ground smooth and broken. The new cams raised the door 1/4 to 3/8" so the door is held in the correct position. Works like new. Overall it was an easy fix.
