This genuine replacement part is an air filter heating cover for snowblowers. The air filter heating pipe cover is the plastic piece that covers the heating pipe of a snowblower. This cover is meant to protect the user from burning themselves on the heating pipe while using the machine. If the heating pipe cover is damaged to the point where it is no longer covering the heating pipe, it should be replaced. Thankfully, replacing this part is a simple process.To replace the heating pipe cover, locate the mounting screws that secure it to the snowblower. Before removing, make sure the engine has cooled to avoid getting burned. Once located, remove the mounting screws that attach the cover. Once removed, replace with the new cover and fasten the screws tightly. This OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with MTD brand snowblowers.
