Joanne for Model Number FDB520RHB2 Water continues to pour from the bottom of my dishwasher even after replacing the splash guards, tub seal, and bottom door seal. I looked under the dishwasher while it ran, and noticed a drip coming from the bottom of the overfill protector. I've also noticed that the water tends to pour out during the filling of the tub. Could this be an indication that the overfill protector is not working, and is there an electrical factor involed in the function of the protector. Im wondering if this is a repair that I could do myself without electrocuting myself :) Thank you in advance.
Answer Hello Joanne. It sounds like the float is not working or the water valve is not shutting off on the unit. If the float switch is working, replace the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
