Ben for Model Number KSBP25FJSS00 The parts diagram for my Kitchen Aid refrigerator calls out this capacitor, but I just pulled the Start Device out (it's failed) and there is no capacitor wired to it. In fact the only available terminals on the start device assembly are the contact for the Red (to overload device) and White (to PTR device) power wires. No other terminal/lug connctions exist to connect a capacitor to. Inparticular, no terminal lug exists to the start pin on the compressor. It appears to only be connected through the PTR resistor. Is this normal for some Kitchenaid models?
Answer Hello Ben. The part you use will depend on whether your compressor has been replaced before or not. If the compressor has never been replaced, you will need to order the start device 8201802 and it doesn't take a capacitor. If the compressor has been changed you will need to order the start relay and overload W11239930, and the capacitor WP4387764. Sure hope this helps you out! Read More...
