Fred for Model Number DU8000xb1 Model DU8000xb1 impeller kit installation - I have a leak where the motor shaft meets the housing; so I'm going to install this kit. What other seals is highly recommended to replace at the same time? I was thinking I needed to replace seal AP2909482 and grommet AP2909466. Is this overkill? Also, what type of grease/vaseline to you recommend coating these seals with during install? Thanks.
Answer Hi Fred. If the seal has been taken off then your best bet to replace it because of the age and it has most likely dry and cracked. The seal part # WP3369031 and the grommet part # WP3369037 can be installed with the liquid dishwasher soap or a light coating of syl - glide lubricant part # TJ17-132. Thank You. Read More...
