Paul for Model Number Maytag Neptune MHW2000AWW Appears to be a phase problem with the motor/motor control board - growling and failure to operate. No visible damage to motor control board PN 6 2710600 and resistance on motor windings checks at ~ 2 ohms. Don't want to replace with redesigned parts if I don't have to, as the unit is in a closet and it is very hard to get access to the back. Is it at all likely that the problem is isolated in the motor control board and that replacing it alone will solve the problem? Any way to diagnose a motor problem?
Answer Hello Paul. The motor is reading bad. However, depending on the serial number, you may need the kit with the motor and board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 23, 2014
