Laurent for Model Number MAH4000AWW When the washer pauses to reverse direction during tumbling and there is a loud squeak/clunk when the tub starts to go. Almost like when something that turns is loose and when it starts to turn it is spinning within its space until it finally makes contact and grabs hold. The machine also has started making a slipping sound when starting to tumble. Sort of a double whir like the belt is slipping twice before it catches and starts to turn. It doesn't really do it on smaller loads, but when you wash, say, a load of towels, it does the double skip. I want to order all bearings and a motor. I've heard bad bearings before and it doesn't sound like that when spinning, but I'm desperate to keep this machine going for another 19 years so want I to change anything that needs to be done before parts are no longer available. Thank you
Answer Hello Laurent, You should install the Neptune motor conversion kit. This replaces the motor and the motor control board which may be the source of the trouble. We would need to ask you to please post a new question including the serial number for your unit to recommend the part suggested by the manufacturer since there are more than one. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 24, 2017
