Tam for Model Number MDB7600AWS Hi, I replaced the panel once under warranty then it became faulty again a few months later. Since then after every load (and after opening door until clean light goes out), the panel stops working (a few LEDs stay dimmly lit). I then have to flip the breaker off (for at least 24 hrs) and turn back on again before the panel works again. I have been doing this routine for the past 6 years. Do you think I should replace the panel? I read that the connecting ribbon often gets moisture and needs to be cleaned and dried. Any help appreciated as I am about to rent out my unit and get this DW fixed.
Answer Tam, You will want to access the ribbon harness that goes from the control panel to the control board and make sure that there is no corrosion on the ribbon harness. If there is then you will want to clean the ribbon harness. If that is not corroded then the issue will most likely be a control panel that needs to be replaced. Read More...
