Matt February 28, 2016 for Model Number MDB8600AWW All control panel buttons seam to work, but when you press the start button it starts filling with water. I think it is the correct level when the door is cracked open to look inside. Then there is a kind of buss and then sounds like a breaker kicks. It does this three times then the control shuts off. I can pump the water out by pushing the start button, a number 2 comes on readout and then a 1 comes on when it gets done pumping. It finishes pumping then shuts off. Also the vent switch was hot when I too the door apart. All help appreciated. Ser# 16423690CE
1 Answer Hello Matt. Make sure nothing has the motor jammed up. If not, it sounds like the motor 6-919922 will need to be replaced. Read More...

Tam September 15, 2015 for Model Number MDB7600AWS Hi, I replaced the panel once under warranty then it became faulty again a few months later. Since then after every load (and after opening door until clean light goes out), the panel stops working (a few LEDs stay dimmly lit). I then have to flip the breaker off (for at least 24 hrs) and turn back on again before the panel works again. I have been doing this routine for the past 6 years. Do you think I should replace the panel? I read that the connecting ribbon often gets moisture and needs to be cleaned and dried. Any help appreciated as I am about to rent out my unit and get this DW fixed.
1 Answer Tam, You will want to access the ribbon harness that goes from the control panel to the control board and make sure that there is no corrosion on the ribbon harness. If there is then you will want to clean the ribbon harness. If that is not corroded then the issue will most likely be a control panel that needs to be replaced. Read More...
Klandingham August 31, 2015 for Model Number MDB7600AWB We've had this dishwasher for quite a few years. Certain buttons on the membrane push button panel have stopped working (again). This is the third time I've had to replace that panel. Both of the other times, after removing the part it was obvious that moisture had seeped into the membrane layers and corroded the button contacts inside until they stopped working. I can't help but wonder if I am doing something wrong installing these, as they don't seem to last very long, and they all fail the same way (moisture entering "sealed" membrane ass'y causing corrosion/failure). Thanks for any advice
1 Answer Hello Klandindham. Make sure your installing the vent seal WP99003222 into the control panel. If not, it will cause the issue your having. Read More...
Frank August 20, 2015 for Model Number MDB7600AWB The door latch broke, along with the mounting/pivot tabs on the control panel. All of the controls work fine. Can the plastic panel without all of the electronics be purchased separately?
Tom S. June 03, 2015 for Model Number MDBTT60AWW The only button that doesn't work is the Start/Cancel button. All others get power. Should I replace the whole control panel or just a circuit board;
Pat May 07, 2014 for Model Number MDB7600AWW The latch previously broke on my dishwasher but it still worked and we would just pull open the door by the control panel (where the latch use to be). Now that piece of plastic that we pulled to open has cracked but the dishwasher still works great. Do I need to replace the whole control panel?
1 Answer Pat, Yes, you will need to replace the complete control panel 6-917713 and the complete door latch assembly part number is WPW10130695. It's not a very difficult repair to make, and can be done by any DIY'r with basic hand tools ( you may need a#15 "torx" tip or driver to remove the inner door panel screws. Read More...
