Gary S. for Model Number DU1055XTSS3 The touch pad only lights up on several functions. It doesn't power up. I press the cancel/drain it lights up and I can hear a pump running. When I press the normal wash it doesn't light up and nothing happens. I press start and nothing. I checked the door switches and the thermal fuse and they are fine. What could be the problem?
Answer Hello Gary, If you have voltage to the control through the thermal fuse and still not power up, make sure the unit has neutral to it. You may need to remove the kick panel and the power connection box behind it, usually on the upper right of the machine compartment, for loose or burned connections. Note also that if the unit is not secured to the countertop, both door switches may not be "making" electrically when the door is closed. This would be an issue since power is passed through one and neutral is passed through the other.
