Hello Gary, If you have voltage to the control through the thermal fuse and still not power up, make sure the unit has neutral to it. You may need to remove the kick panel and the power connection box behind it, usually on the upper right of the machine compartment, for loose or burned connections. Note also that if the unit is not secured to the countertop, both door switches may not be "making" electrically when the door is closed. This would be an issue since power is passed through one and neutral is passed through the other. You can pull the tech sheet from behind the kickpanel for a wiring diagram if needed to troubleshoot the unit electrically.

Susan for Model Number Maytag MDBH950AWB

The outer handle - used to pull the door open on the main outer panel (where all the button selections are), is cracked and broken. The latch is also difficult to open and close. I figure I need the Door latch and handle assembly, but is there any way to replace that outer grasp handle without having to replace the entire panel and touch pad assembly connected to the handle? All the functions still work fine, I just have no way to pull on the door without it cracking more.

John, The internal "linkage" is stuck or broken. You should be able to grasp the top corners of the door assembly and sharply pull out of the door. The "rolling" lock / catch should roll open and allow the door to be opened. You can then remove power to the dishwasher, dismantle the inner door liner and replace the door latch assembly with part no. WPW10130695.
