Mark for Model Number Maytag LAT9806AAE Can you use a 22002190 timer in place of a 022001695? My serial number is 11367910QY and it take a 22001695 timer which is no longer available. My washer won't rinse or spin in the regular cycle. It works fine in the hand washable setting. Is the timer the problem? Also, the lid switch cuts the unit off if you open it up during one of the cycles. Does this indicate that switch is ok? Thanks
Answer Hello Mark, You cannot use a timer for a washer that is not listed specifically for that machine. You can create a flood or fire hazard and the manufacturer will take no responsibility for the machine from that point. Also, it is seldom that you will even find a timer that is not for a specific model number that the harness will plug into properly. This is done by the manufacturer to try to prevent the wrong timer to be installed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 3, 2015
