This is a genuine replacement bolt that is designed specifically for use on select lawn tractors. This tractor bolt is a specialty piece of hardware designed for use on the steering segment gear. This screw holds the gear in place and is exposed to constant vibrations and repetitive motion as a result. Over time, that can result in damage, wear, or even total breakage of the bolt and require a replacement. If the bolt isn't functional or is missing, the steering segment gear will not be secured and that can lead to further damage if left unattended. Using a genuine replacement part like this will guarantee an exact fit for compatible models. This genuine OEM gear bolt is manufactured by MTD. It is compatible with lawn and garden equipment from RYOBI, HUSKEE, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, Yard Man, and Cub Cadet, along with select models from MTD. The bolt works for more than 100 compatible models. It is made of durable metal and sold as an individual unit. A wrench or socket will be required to replace this part. Always wear gloves when performing repairs on lawn and garden equipment and allow the engine to cool before doing any work.
There are multiple uses for the 5/16-18 Hex Screw. It is often used with small gasoline-powered yard equipment such as lawn and garden machines. While hex screws such as these may be used in edgers and snowblowers, the most frequent use this screw is in yard tractors. This variety of screw is commonly used in attaching the various appendages of gas-powered equipment to a central operating platform. In particular, these hex screws are used to secure the engine block of power tools to the frame or housing of the equipment. Once in place, these fasteners have an almost unbreakable strength to them. This is so much so the case that often, in order to detach the engine manifold and repair the inner workings of an engine, the bolts must be chiseled or cut loose. In such cases, it is necessary for the bolts to be replaced during reassembly. Manufacturers insist that genuine OEM replacement parts be used in the rebuilding process. These replacement parts were manufactured to the same exacting specifications used to make the original screws. These OEM screws are compatible with equipment made and sold by Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Husky, MTD, Bolens, and Yard Machines.
Hex screw fastener for securing lawn mower components. Replace if stripped, rusted, or missing to ensure proper assembly and equipment stability.
With small gasoline-powered tools that require control panels, this hex screw attaches the panel to the handles of the tools. Machined to be durable, important screws such as these take a real beating. In their locations at critical points on the handle, the hex screws are considered "wear items," and thus periodically, they must be replaced. The control panel itself is often a location of extreme forces, jostling, and abrupt movement in unpredictable directions. The constant movement, with sheet metal rubbing against the hex screws from every direction, make wear inevitable. The manufacturers recommend that spare screws of this type be kept on hand if the heavy use of the equipment is expected. Among the gasoline-powered tools that use these screws are snowblowers, yard tractors, mowers, tiller, chippers, shredders, and other tools requiring hand-maneuvered levers. These screws are compatible with a number of equipment brands and manufacturers, including MTD, Ryobi, Poulan, Yard-Man, Bolens, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
Replace the hex screw in your lawn tractor or riding mower. Used to secure various components throughout the machine. Order a new screw if damaged or lost.
This OEM screw is a fastener with a trimmed six-sided or hexagonal head plus a washer face on the bearing surface. It is one of the most commonly used fasteners. Considered standard hardware, this component has multiple applications and can be used on woodworking, machine assembly, and mechanical repair. The screw is 3/4 long and has a thread size of 5/16 -18. A hex cap screw is installed into tapped holes by turning the head to fit and tighten. This is the fastener of choice in applications where tight tolerance is necessary. This is a genuine factory part sourced from the manufacturer and is sold individually. It can be used with Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Murray, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Montgomery Wards, Bolens, Yard-Man, and MasterCut brands of lawn maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, snowblowers, tillers, leaf blowers, log splitters, and wood chippers.

A flange lock nut, also known as a flange lock or a lock nut, is created to be used in various types of lawn and garden equipment. This flange lock nut holds other parts in place and, when properly threaded, will resist loosening. Over time, a flange lock nut may begin to weaken and may become loose or break. If it appears to be broken or weak, a replacement is required. Flange locks can be adjusted and uninstalled after use. When replacement is required, you may need a socket set, screwdriver, hacksaw, and butane torch. The socket wrench will loosen the bolt it is connected to, while the torch is used to heat the lock nut. A socket wrench may remove the nut, but sometimes cutting it with a hacksaw is required. This flange lock nut is a genuine OEM component directly from the manufacturer and comes in an individual unit. It is made of metal, a gold color, and can be found in various areas of lawn equipment. It works with lawnmowers, trimmers, snowblowers, cultivators, tillers, and leaf blowers by Poulan, MTD, Toro, Cub Cadet, Murray, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, Craftsman, and Yard-Man.
This is a flanged lock nut. It’s designed to apply tension, typically on a joint that needs to have a certain amount of flex. As such, it’s mostly used on snowblower chutes and lawnmower handles. They can remain in place, but with a forgiving connection that can take a beating. The nut size is 3/8, with a thread size of 16. A lock nut will generally last for many years. However, the silicone ring inside will wear down if it’s frequently tightened and loosened. It needs to be replaced when it will no longer reliably remain in place. Generally, this begins as a symptom of slight slippage and worsens as time goes on. Thankfully, whether it’s being used on a snowblower or a lawnmower, this nut is generally straightforward to access. Simply unscrew the old nut, then screw the new nut on until it’s nice and tight. Our flanged lock nuts are genuine OEM MTD nuts, and they are sold individually.

Cotter pins are simple but very effective fasteners used primarily to hold wheels in place on mowers. This is particularly true of the front wheels on riding mowers. Cotter pins are very light and can become overly pliable after extensive use. In some cases, the front wheels of a mower, which are the guide wheels that steer the device, become difficult to manage. The cure for this situation is often simply the replacement of the cotter pins that are not holding the guide wheels adequately in place. Before attempting to remove the pins, it is essential that the spark plug boot is moved so that the mower cannot be started. This is an important safety step because the repairer will be getting under the mower near the blades. The back wheels should be blocked so the mower cannot move, then the front end placed up on blocks. Remove the mower's hubcaps to gain access to the axle spindles. Straighten the legs of the pin so that when the curved portion of the cotter pin is grasped with pliers and it can be pulled straight back and be removed. The spindle, washers, and wheels should be checked for wear before the new pin is placed and secured. This OEM cotter pin is compatible with Bolens, Yard-Man, Craftsman, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, Turf King, Troy-Bilt, Huskee, Toro, Ryobi, MTD, MasterCut, Murray, and Montgomery Wards.

An authentic OEM replacement extension spring is an integral part of a lawn tractor or snowblowers brake system that helps to hold together and redistribute energy throughout the lower deck. When a driver applies the brakes, the lower deck has a tendency to continue moving forward with inertia. This extension spring helps to keep the parts in place and transfer a balance of energy. Although replacing the extension spring itself is a simple and straightforward process, gaining access to the spring is a little complicated as it requires removing the lawn mower or snowblower's lower deck. You will need a pair of pliers to remove the pins and cables that hold the lower deck in place but there is no other required hardware. Be sure to follow the user's manual as you remove the deck. This part is a top-quality replacement part sourced from its original manufacturer. It is designed to be used with Murray, Husky, Troy-Bilt Poulan, Yard Man, Yard Machines, Bolens, and MTD appliances. This part ships individually.

This lock washer is used frequently for a number of applications on power yard equipment. The size, 5/16, is the default for many small engine housing and manifold applications. Lock washers are used with machined bolts to fasten engine blocks to the housing of the equipment being used. The compressed washer is able to handle the constant vibration of the small gasoline engine without losing the seal between the screw or bolt and the housing. Typically these lock washers only need to be replaced when they are misplaced during repairs or when the screws that attach them have to be chiseled or cut away, meaning the washers are destroyed as well. These OEM certified replacement washers have been manufactured to the same specifications as the originals they are replacing. In addition to lawn mowers, lock washers of this type and size are frequently used on blowers, lawn tractors, cultivators, snowblowers, and trimmers. Brands compatible with this type of washer are Murray, Husky, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Ryobi.

Here is a replacement shoulder screw that is commonly used for various types of outdoor power equipment. Another name for the shoulder screw is a shoulder pin. The screw is often used to help secure the plastic wheels to the deck of a machine. However, different machines may have different uses for shoulder screws and other types of hardware. The shoulder screw is made from metal and is durable. However, the pin may still need to be replaced at some point. Whether it is because of corrosion or being bent, it is important to replace a failed screw with a new one. When performing maintenance on the machine, it is also possible that the screw could become lost, which would require a replacement. This is a genuine OEM replacement shoulder screw.
