How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7213061 / WD12X32798 Dishwasher Detergent Dispenser Module

Removed door by instruction on U-Tube. Works great now! 

Replaced dispenser -- video was a great help. 

Replaced the circulating pump, along with the replacement wiring harness that was provided. Also, replaced the detergent dispenser. 

Thought I could replace a rubber washer and fix the leak, but I had to buy the whole detergent dispenser. The part was here the next day or two after I ordered it. I watched a video on how to replace the detergent dispenser. I didn't have to disconnect the water, electrical, and drain hose because I determined there was enough slack. Took about 30 minutes and appears to have fixed the leak. 

Shut off electricity and water. Pulled dishwasher from under the counter. Removed the door. Separating the door cover from the door back was a bit problematic due to the age and some built up residue. Once the door was disassembled, the removal of the dispenser was quick by removing the 6 screws and removing the old dispenser. Take note of the old dispenser positioning as it is easy to install it up-side-down. Reverse the disassemble steps. 

Your online tutorial of how to replace the detergent module was great. This is the second time I’ve used your service and tutorials to repair this dishwasher. Actually it’s the third time and each time the tutorial has been very helpful and the part arrived and function correctly. Thank you. 

I replaced the heating element and the door dispenser. 

After reviewing the video which was a BIG help it took me about 2 Hrs from start to finish with lots of breaks ( 78 years) 

I am very good at repairing things, and the video on the web site took care of a couple of specific details to do the job. While I had it apart, I also replaced the door gaskets. So I followed the video and the repair took less than half an hour. I spent a lot more time cleaning areas that couldn't be seen without the door being taken off. 

I purchased the replacement Detergent Module and did it by following the video installation on this website. I saved about $200.00 by doing this by myself.
