Called a supposedly qualified Maytag repair man. I gave him lots of internet info indicating that F51 error code was a sensor problem. After 3 hours, he left saying it was the costly control panel ($279 plus installation). After watching AppliancePartsPros utube on replacing the sensor, I decided to tackle the job myself. APA had the sensor part here the next day. It was very easy to install and the washer now works fine. My wife is super happy as we saved $500 from the new washer she had ordered from HD. The Appliance repair shop did refund the repair mans visit charge.
