This door switch senses whether the appliance door is closed and signals the controls to run only when it's safe. Replacing a worn or intermittent switch restores dependable starts and proper shutoff when the door opens. What it does:

Plastic baffle (vane) that attaches inside the washer drum to lift and tumble clothes during wash cycles. Replace if cracked, broken, or detached.
Sump hose connects the washer tub to the drain pump. Replace if cracked, leaking, deteriorated, or has holes causing water leaks during wash cycles.
I changed the pump and also discovered the coin trap was wearing thin because it was rubbing against the sheet metal. So I replaced that as well. It took about 15 minutes to remove the coin trap and pump and about 20 minutes to install. The shipping was amazingly fast. I received the parts the next morning. This vane screw secures the internal drum baffle (vane) to the drum, keeping loads turning properly and preventing rattles or snags. Replace a missing or stripped screw to restore a tight, stable baffle during cycles.
Unscrewed the front lower panel ( 2 screws ). Disconnected the pump hose clamp and removed the hose. I loosened the lower back panel and pulled out the drained hose from the rear. Replaced with new hose put back clamp and panels. Very easy Read more
