Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages. This was a pretty easy fix. Removed the screws around the perimeter of the inside cover of the door and pressed the outer door cover upward to release it from slots retaining it. There are four wires to remove (2 for the detergent door release and 2 for the rinse agent release). Removed the 6 screws retaining the dispenser assembly and inserted the new one. Reassembly is simply in reverse order. Problem solved for less than the cost of a service technician's call! Read more

Removed the old cover and replaced it with the new cover and label. Read more

Replaced with ordered cover and new screws. Cover was a perfect replacement for original. Replacement took less than 15 minutes to complete. Read more

Flipped the circuit breaker to turn the power to the fridge off. Had to remove the faceplate to the ice/water dispenser. Had to remove approx 16 screws and unplug the circuit board. Removed water tube (That was the hardest part) ! Had to disconnect and remove the broken part and reattach the new part. Then put everything back together again. Read more

Removed old label, took the glue residue off, wiped it down with rubbing alcohol then attached the new label on to the fridge. Read more

After examining it, 2 of the 4 retainer clips had broken off.
