Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water remained in the bottom of the dishwasher after all cycles were complete.   Fred E. • Saratoga Springs , NY • March 21, 2014

It is very simple to fix. All the blogs recommend replacement of this part but do not explain why. This is a normally open check valve that permits the water from inside the dishwasher to drain out, either once it gets too high or just general splash. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher would not fill with water   Robert N. • Susanville , CA • January 09, 2016

I took the inlet valve apart, found it was clogged with sediment, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it. Water was still not filing, so I figured the valve was sticking. I ordered a new valve, because $30 was a lot cheaper than a new dishwasher. I took out the old valve with two screws, and disconnected the supply line, the brass elbow, one hose, and a wiring harness. I reattached it in the same place, re-using the all the other parts, and once I turned the power and water back on, it worked as... Read more
