The function of the tube line for a string trimmer is to spool out of the trimmer head assembly and rotate such that it can cut through grass, hedges, bushes, and other greenery. Over the standard lifespan of an average string trimmer, the tube line might suffer damage that can stop it from rotating and cutting properly. If the tube line is knotted and cannot be unspooled from the head assembly, it can be repaired. However, if this happens frequently or if the problem is not solvable with the existing tube line, the broken or malfunctioning tube line should immediately be replaced by this genuine OEM replacement part before using the string trimmer again.
