Tip the deck onto its side, safely remove the blade and loosen the bolts connecting the engine. Place the deck flat again and remove bolts to disconnect the engine. Lastly, disconnect the side discharge door. Remove the new deck from the packaging and discard damaged the damaged one. Reattach all parts, beginning with the side discharge door. This deck housing is for lawn tractors. The deck housing needs to be replaced in a number of situations. It can be damaged heavily due to just age, or it can totally wear out through use and exposure to the elements. Contact with objects while mowing can also damage the deck housing. If it is just rusty, it can be repaired by sanding the rust off and applying several coatings of paint. But if it has been bent or warped, it will interfere with the proper operation of the blades.In order to replace the deck housing, first remove the attachments that are in the way. Raise the deck to its highest position and then remove it. Raise the front part of the new deck and align it with the holes that are on the front of the mower frame. Insert the guide or cotter pins removed previously together with the carter keys.
