This is an oil filter designed for use in larger gasoline-powered landscaping and outdoor equipment such as log splitters and chippers. An oil filter is an essential safeguard to maintain a good operating condition and ensure long life in a gas engine. Oil filters remove toxic chemicals as small pieces of debris that can end up in the engines. Because these contaminants, if improperly removed, could also end up in the air or in the environment in other ways, oil filters must be meet EPA emission regulations. This filter not only meets federal environmental standards but also is an OEM guaranteed replacement part that is manufactured to the identical specification of the original parts being replaced. By the very nature of what it's supposed to accomplish, eventually, the filter will need to be replaced. Over time the filter's elements will become full of debris, and failing to replace it in a timely manner runs the risk of allowing the captured pollutants to escape back into the engine oil. When replacing the old filter, make sure to follow environmental guidelines as well, disposing of the oil and filter according to posted regulations. Replacing the filter is the ideal time to replace the engine oil as well. This filter is compatible with Husky, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man, and MTD equipment.

This valve handle link is a replacement for the three metal components connected to the control valve handle on a log splitter. The control valve handle of a log splitter is designed to have three settings: forward, neutral, and reverse. When the handle is engaged forward, a ram is pushed out and splits a log that has been placed in the machine. The handle is then moved into the reverse positions to move the ram back to the start position. While loading a new log into the splitter, the handle should be in the neutral setting. If a control valve handle becomes worn or damaged, the log splitter may not shift entirely into the desired operating position. Warning signs of wear and damage can include a loose or wobbly control valve handle or a feeling of slipping when shifting handle positions. The malfunctioning handle may be due to the valve handle link becoming damaged. This valve handle link replacement is sold individually and is an OEM part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It fits an MTD, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, Bolens, or Craftsman log splitter.

This is a genuine washer lock that is designed to be used in various applications on lawn and garden equipment. It is a standard piece of hardware that provides a strong seal and distributes pressure between the two connected components. Because of the exposure to high pressure and vibrations, these washers can become damaged or broken over time. If they are not replaced promptly, the connection between the two different parts may be affected. These washers are small and can also get lost while doing other repairs, so it may be helpful to keep some extras on hand. This genuine OEM lock washer is manufactured to exact standards and is compatible with several lawn and garden machines from Husky, Cub Cadet, MTD, RYOBI, Yard Machines, Troy Bilt, Yard Man, and Bolens. It can be used with over 150 models of tractors, blowers, cultivators, trimmers, and snowblowers. Consult the parts diagram for the exact location(s) and application(s) of this washer. Replacing this washer will require a screwdriver or socket set to attach the screws or bolts that the washer is securing. Always wear gloves for hand protection when replacing engine components like this lock washer.

Log Splitters use this plug pipe to cover the oil tube and measure the amount of oil in the engine with the included dipstick. The dipstick sits inside the oil tube, and when it is pulled out, the amount of oil is determined by the markings on the dipstick. If the plug pipe is lost or misplaced while replacing the oil or making repairs to the engine, it will need to be replaced to prevent oil from leaking and to keep the pressure inside the oil tube optimal. Maintaining the correct oil level in all engines is critical to keeping the engine running. If the engine runs without oil, major damage can be done to the pistons and other parts, making the engine seized and have to be replaced. It is less expensive to maintain the oil than it is to replace the engine. This plug pipe with dipstick is an OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is a gold-colored metal part with an attached dipstick. It is sold as an individual unit that is designed to be used on log splitters manufactured by MTD, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, and Yard Machines.

Cotter pins are simple but very effective fasteners used primarily to hold wheels in place on mowers. This is particularly true of the front wheels on riding mowers. Cotter pins are very light and can become overly pliable after extensive use. In some cases, the front wheels of a mower, which are the guide wheels that steer the device, become difficult to manage. The cure for this situation is often simply the replacement of the cotter pins that are not holding the guide wheels adequately in place. Before attempting to remove the pins, it is essential that the spark plug boot is moved so that the mower cannot be started. This is an important safety step because the repairer will be getting under the mower near the blades. The back wheels should be blocked so the mower cannot move, then the front end placed up on blocks. Remove the mower's hubcaps to gain access to the axle spindles. Straighten the legs of the pin so that when the curved portion of the cotter pin is grasped with pliers and it can be pulled straight back and be removed. The spindle, washers, and wheels should be checked for wear before the new pin is placed and secured. This OEM cotter pin is compatible with Bolens, Yard-Man, Craftsman, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, Turf King, Troy-Bilt, Huskee, Toro, Ryobi, MTD, MasterCut, Murray, and Montgomery Wards.
This is a self-tapping screw. It attaches to various lawn machines' engines. The exact location depends on the make and model of the device. With age or misuse of the lawn equipment, the self-tapping screw may become damaged or break. One sign that the screw is gone or broken is a loose connection between the engine and the foundation that it sets on. Excessive vibration is another indicator that the self-tapping screw is missing or damaged. If it does wear out and get lost or damaged, the part must be replaced. It is easy to replace a self-tapping screw. First, make sure that the device is cooled. Wear gloves for protection. It requires a wrench to install. If the self-tapping screw breaks, other tools such as pliers may be needed to get the screw out.The self-tapping screw is a genuine OEM part supplied by the manufacturer. It is made of durable metal. The self-tapping screw is sold individually. It is compatible with machines produced by Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard-Man, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, and Husky. This screw is a genuine Midwest Engine replacement part for appliances operated by small engines, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuums, and tillers. The purpose of a screw is to link materials together by piercing into the materials and then rotating it until the materials are firmly clasped together. It is likely that a screw will have to be replaced at some point in the lifespan of an appliance due to simply losing or misplacing the screw. If the materials that are generally supposed to be held together seem to be loosening or have come apart, it is likely that the screw has either fallen out or has undergone damage that has warped it. This kind of damage can be attributed to general overuse, to age, or simply to long-term exposure. If a screw is subject to any of this kind of damage, it is best to replace it immediately. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This screw is compatible with the following brands: MTD, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines. This part sold individually.
This is a flanged lock nut. It’s designed to apply tension, typically on a joint that needs to have a certain amount of flex. As such, it’s mostly used on snowblower chutes and lawnmower handles. They can remain in place, but with a forgiving connection that can take a beating. The nut size is 3/8, with a thread size of 16. A lock nut will generally last for many years. However, the silicone ring inside will wear down if it’s frequently tightened and loosened. It needs to be replaced when it will no longer reliably remain in place. Generally, this begins as a symptom of slight slippage and worsens as time goes on. Thankfully, whether it’s being used on a snowblower or a lawnmower, this nut is generally straightforward to access. Simply unscrew the old nut, then screw the new nut on until it’s nice and tight. Our flanged lock nuts are genuine OEM MTD nuts, and they are sold individually.

This lock washer is used frequently for a number of applications on power yard equipment. The size, 5/16, is the default for many small engine housing and manifold applications. Lock washers are used with machined bolts to fasten engine blocks to the housing of the equipment being used. The compressed washer is able to handle the constant vibration of the small gasoline engine without losing the seal between the screw or bolt and the housing. Typically these lock washers only need to be replaced when they are misplaced during repairs or when the screws that attach them have to be chiseled or cut away, meaning the washers are destroyed as well. These OEM certified replacement washers have been manufactured to the same specifications as the originals they are replacing. In addition to lawn mowers, lock washers of this type and size are frequently used on blowers, lawn tractors, cultivators, snowblowers, and trimmers. Brands compatible with this type of washer are Murray, Husky, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Ryobi.
