The light inside the microwave oven was out. I could not see where it was and how to get at it because the inside is a continuous box. Found the part number from AppliancePartsPros.com, ordered, and in a few days the new bulb was there, and it was easy to replace. Read more
Replacement vent grille for microwaves. Installs on top with screws and tabs. Needed when original is cracked, broken, or attachment tabs snap off.
Removed old broken grill, uses only 2 screws on top and 3 tabs on bottom to be installed. Was careful not over tighten top screws as the plastic tabs on top that have the holes for the 2 screws can be broken if fastened too tightly. Took about 5 minutes to complete. Read more
Fix blinking, dim, or blank microwave display. This display board (digitron) restores clock and control panel visibility. DIY repair in under an hour.
My Advantium worked fine except the clock and cooking instructions were dim and bounced in a circular pattern over the left side of the display. I tried unplugging it and once or twice that seemed to help. When I finally decided to take the control panel off I had a difficult time until I saw an old remark from a 2009 forum discussion from a guy that said there were about a dozen screws to remove to get to the control panel. That meant the entire cover had to come off! Wow! Glad I didn't break... Read more
Microwave won't start or shows door error? A faulty door switch prevents operation when the door isn't detected as closed. DIY repair in under an hour.
After checking other reviews, we decided it was best to replace the interlocks, cam and all three switches. Removes cooking odors, smoke, and grease from recirculating microwave vents. Replace when odors persist despite cleaning. Confirm fit by model number.
When Microwaving food, the display panel would seem to act normal, but the typical microwave sound would be absent. No microwave action would occur. Eventually an F5 code would display. Problem was the upper door switch. Found it by opening up the cabinet, removing the display panel (1 screw and a couple of plugs) and testing all three micro switched with a meter. Two switches are for the door and one for some kind of ventilation flap. They are all in the same area. Go to YouTube to see... Read more

Microwave display flickering, blank, or distorted? This control board manages timing, power levels, and display functions. DIY install in 20-25 minutes.
First I replaced the flickering digitron after reading elsewhere that it may be just a weak display. The new digit on was still flickering but a little differently. Our oven was still working with either display until suddenly it wasn't one morning. After finding AppliancePartsPros and reading that others had to go further by replacing the transformer and power boards, that's when I looked closer at those parts. There was some smoke evidence on the cover over the transformer and the back of... Read more
